This channel offers you the opportunity to collect ideas around the topic of sea water aquariums. It shows the spatial and technical possibilities to set up your reef tank at home in the living room, bedroom or office.
For this we travel through Europe to capture the perfect pictures for you.
So please enjoy and best regards

Love your channel
I would love to see a monochromatic tank. That would focus the eye on the variety of shapes and geometries of the corals. I might try it in pastel colors-cream, pink

You idea of a breeding tank is great idea. Hobbyists could play a great part in preserving coral reefs.
I always have the idea of a pulsing Xenia tank. I just find it mesmerizing
Coloured me intrigued with the "One Coral Species Tank" idea. Hope you find one during your journey so we can see how it looks like.
The macro algae at 3:23, are those real? In the Neytrop video visiting Jack Elliott, those algae weren't there yet (and there were also other fish). Where can I find more information on these? They look very, very interesting!
good job
Maxima are good growers but Derasa are ridiculously fast growing animals. Mine went from palm to football in three years.
Cool list!
Wouldn't you say an anemone only tank is a "specific coral species only" tank?. They are stunning and I think this is the future as a second tank for reefers….like torch only tanks, zoa only tanks, but I see these tanks being smaller in size
That Tank is a masterpiece and you visited it @neytrop @seafriendlyreef: BIGGEST Reef Tank Aquarium in Germany (with Shark) – 240.000 Liters

A green staghorn species tank is my ultimate goal
Great video as always, love the idea of a clam dominated tank. Another awesome one is a mangrove ecotope tank and a table coral only tank
Enjoyed this!
Not a fan sorry – hahaaa… well I like the Frogfish idea and the Biotope.
But I don't like an entire Captive Bred tank because I feel the hobby should be supporting sustainable collection as this creates more reasons to protect the fish (and no community that benefits from coral collection is going to allow dynamiting). I REALLY feel the only way we save our reefs is if the world values them and 'protecting' them IMO harms that.
The clam idea is AWESOME and I love mine… just think there should be more focus on them in our hobby (especially husbandry). Algae tank meh ๐
A single type of coral I think is a horrible idea – LoL… but a limit of say 10 species in a tank would be cool. Like a 100L tank with 3 fish, a pistol shrimp and 6 corals.
This is a great video and makes us think differently – thanks Toby
Well I like the idea of 1.
Is there a bigger video of the tank with the parrotfish ? Is it a scarus quori ?
I would love to do all 7 if I could afford it!
Seven great ideas! Here is some more ideas –
Color co-ordinated tank , using corals and livestock of only 3 to five colors.
For example blue /pink/yellow and mauve. ๐๐๐๐ or
red/pink/ green โค๏ธ๐๐งก๐
Biozone tank – setting up tanks replicating certain habits of reefs. For example the coral rubble zone, cave zone, reef crest zone
Pest tank – set up a tank using only "pest" livestock. Majomo anenomes, Xenia, bristle worms, pest crabs, astera starfish. Very very easy to maintain and good for education purposes. ๐ฉโ ๏ธ
Nocturnal tank – low light tank using nonphotosynthetic corals, sponges, nocturnal fish. Use narrow spotlights and deep blue lighting. Many fish that hide during the day will be on show, it's more comfortable for them.โจ๐๐
Cold water reef – use a chiller to keep species from very cold areas. Corals, tube worms, sponges and fish.
I believe there are some Scandinavian aquarists that are doing this and the aquariums are very unique.โ๏ธ๐โ๏ธ
Echinoderm tank sea urchins, sea stars and brittle stars can totally destroy some coral, fish and algae but when kept in a group by them selves they can make a very interesting exhibit.
Filter feeder tank similar to the nocturnal tank but more specific. Only keep non photosynthetic corals, gorgonians, tube worms, clams, oysters and other filter feeders. Heavy times doses of plankton etc and a good skimmer would be needed for this. Damsel fish and gobies would make great tankmates.
And of course – species tank. Similar to the angler fish tank- but only keeping one species that must be kept alone. Either because they are dangerous to other species ( mantis shrimp, lobster, bobbit worm, cone snail, octopus, lionfish, moray) or because they are a delicate species ( seahorse, pipe fish, filefish, garden eels,) Too many to cover!
Also what about a biotope tank consisting of 6 of your ideas?
A biotope with algae, an angler fish, giant clams, one specie of coral … And they are all captive bred offspring? ๐
The frog fish is cool but me instead of having a frog fish I have a mantis shrimp ๐
Another Great and Inspiring video thanks for sharing ๐๐ป๐บ๐ธ
Great ideas. I was a little confused about offspring references. You may want to say captive bred. Love your channel
A strict carnation coral/ sea apple reef would look incredible
Offspring ist die Uebersetzung von Nachwuchs, aber mann nennt es kein offspring auf English weil auch Wildfang Fische offspring haben. Das wird "Aqua cultured" oder "tank bred" genennt. ๐
Wenn ich den Platz hรคtte, wรผrde ich ein Frogfish Aquarium machen (y)
Neben Seepferdchen schon lange meine Traumtiere.
I'm waiting to start a reef tank until fter I graduate from university and move into more permanent housing. But I'm gonna bookmark this video and come back to it then!
Lovely tanks, mine had a bad crash lost the lot ,since then keep getting brown and red slim algae
