Does your Nerite frequently come out of the water and exit the tank?
I have 4 of these setups with bettas and I've found them on the floor, on the shelf below the tabletop, all over the out side of the jars/vases. All the tanks are at a gallon or more.
I'm just curious since the guy that sold them to me said they never wander more than 4" away from the water.
