Corydoras breeding caught on camera!
I never seem to be prepared to film whenever any of my breeding setups have a spawn in progress… This time was a different matter!
In my planted aquarium I tried making a comfortable “realistic” aquascape to use as a breeding set up for my false julii corydoras (Trilineatus Corydoras)
– dwarf Neon Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia Praecox) – and Bristlenose pleco…
It’s been going great and being able to catch this footage is really exciting and rewarding to witness.

Cory actually breed by male ejecting sperm directly into the female mouth. And then the female might or might not use those sperm as glue to stick the egg to surface 😂 very interesting 🤔
Ive got a Cory colony that’s been consistently producing eggs ever since I put them in the mosh pit lol
I saw my Cory’s doing this! I haven’t seen any eggs!
Even their mating is goofy
Btw I just read that at least 1 species of Corydoras do this T-pose mating because the female will swallow the male's sperms, quickly pass it to the anus and into the cloaca where it simultaneously release the eggs.
What do u feed them in order for them to spawn?
