Bought the Nano version for my redsea reefer nano. It's a really fun addition to your aquarium and it just provides a different perspective to viewing. All in all actually, it's basically an expensive magnifying glass with reefsafe magnets. Not that I know how to build reef safe magnets though.
When using these items out of the box, chances are you will leave behind adhesive on your glass which comes from the pads on the magnifying glass. Some sort of poor worksmanship there. Frustrating and not the easiest to clean off. Many complains on that. To solve that issue I'd just double sided tape a spectacle cleaning cloth to the pads on the dry side. Photography wise in my opinion, it's not very useful. Using your mobile phone placed on the glass with or without the magnifying glass makes little to no difference on zooming. This item is best for observing with our eyes only and not so much for photography.
I thought this product was a gimmick…..until I bought one. I bought one for both of my tanks. This thing is awesome!
