In this video, we take a step by step tutorial on how to photograph of an aquarium. Our subject this week is Ghazanfar’s ADA 90P Aquascape. It’s a beautiful nature aquarium that deserves to be shown off in a perfect photo. We took this photo for the IAPLC competition. We go through tips and tricks like how to use a hairdryer in aquascaping and using black poster board to line your fish tank. We also go through the best setting for your camera, from ISO, to Aperture, to shutter speed.

I don't like to shoot pictures that are too bright, the colors look washed out. With that in mind, f1.8, ISO350, 1/60s usually gets me pretty good results even without supplemental lighting, I just wish I had something even half as aesthetic to shoot as that aquascape there. About blurriness: I think if the fish look slightly blurry, that only adds to the feeling of motion.

    Merry Christmas!

Such a beautiful tank. Also makes me realise how much work goes into actually creating these images when i get a case of serious tank envy on Insta haha.
