Picture this, you’re having a nice, relaxing walk on a private beach without a care in the world. All of a sudden, your foot drops into a deep and mucky puddle. You struggle to pull your leg out, but it just won’t budge. Before you know it, you’re sinking rapidly, and half of your body is submerged in cold, wet quicksand. The more you struggle, the more you sink. Talk about a terrible way to end a vacation.

The last time I stepped into mud while walking once I felt it go up past to my knees I had this instinct to throw myself forwards belly flopping onto the ground with my hands Superman stretched.
I think it was about surface area/ just trying to get as clear of it as possible.
I’ll never know how deep it actually was.. but I warn you there were footprints 👣 on the surface where somebody else had been able to walk without sinking… so remember that just cause someone else could another doesn’t mean you can THIS time!

What Signs of quicksand should you look out for?
If you can, Try to Read the warning signs something like “Don’t Go in the Quicksand, Don’t move while your in the Quicksand or you will sink deeper
Could you rescue yourself if you’re all alone?
Well again you’re going to want to grab on to something like a branch in the tree and you could rescue yourself.

Advice needed if you get stuck in quicksand AND you're just stupid as shit.
"First and foremost, whatever you do, don't move a muscle. The more that you move, the quicker you will sink". "Next step, begin wiggling your feet". TIMEOUT BACK UP ……Well, which is it? Stay still? Or wiggle and sink? You can't do both (according to the fundamental laws of common friggin sense lol). I came here to accurately learn. I have quicksand in certain areas of my property/land acreage, not to mention two young daughters who play outside all of the time. So seriously, which choice is ultimately better? And in regards to potential comments, unless you're an actual expert with anything other than a educated guess, please don't chime in because my children's lives might one day depend on what you say. Call me a little bit too theatrical or dramatic, I don't care. At the end of the day, I call it being proactive and logically prepared by controlling the potential outcome the best way I know how. Any negative feedback will mean nothing to me. I'm not here for you, I'm here for me, potential criticizers. So, with that being said, anyone? Is there anyone who can genuinely tell me which is the better approach? Staying still in hopes of a rescue? Or by attempting to wiggle your feet loose, and potentially risk sinking deeper?
