How to use small house plants to filter your aquarium water naturally
If you’ve seen those videos about the benefits of adding a peace lily, pothos or monstera to your fish tank as a way of reducing nitrates, but only have a nano aquarium, this video is for you.
Shop around, and you might be able to find nano versions of plants that are great at extracting ammonium from your fish tank water. They’re small, so they won’t overwhelm your tank.
In this video, I demonstrate by adding nano varieties of philodendron (silk plant) and tradescantia (pink paradise) to a 22-litre cube aquarium. Here are the materials I used:
