PLANTED TANK MAINTENANCE - SHAPING JOSH SIM'S AMAZING AQUASCAPE

PLANTED TANK MAINTENANCE – SHAPING JOSH SIM'S AMAZING AQUASCAPE

Planted tank maintenance is not an easy job sometimes. Would you dare to touch an aquascape built by the World Champion Josh Sim? What if you had no choice but to tweak it a little? This is not the time for trembling hands, but careful planning needed before the big maintenance session on the Planted Tank Legends series aquascape – “Congo”. Three months have passed by since the build of this aquascape; it has been a bit overgrown. In this video, we’re taking it back to the roots, to the original concept of the double IAPLC winner.

How to you treat the staghorn algae? Of course you remove it in first place. I learnt somewhere that increasing dosing of K fert may help. Was it the case for you? Thanks for sharin' xp 🙂

I’m most intrigued about the pipes that you were using for maintenance. Looks like you custom made them? Could you share about them sometime? Loving your videos Green Aqua !

This video is awesome as always but I think it was a miss opportunity there to actually show the algae struggle you had with this tank and how you did cope with it.

    Sziasztok!
    Most készülök összerakni a congót.
    120x50x50
Esetleg tudnátok bármit javasolni, ami egy kicsit megkönnyítené a dolgom az építésnél?
    Előre is köszönöm.
Ja és még annyi lenne a kérdésem,h ezt az akváriumot meg lehetne nézni személyesen is?

Question. Why didn't you finish the maintenance? There was still plants growing in the pathways and at the very front of the tank – runners of some plant that should have gone really. Also, I understand the concept of light and shadow but the left of the tank, like 1/5th is in darkness. Either too many plants or light not big enough. Just my opinion. Still love the channel.

What do you use for the water changes/plant suction. Do you use some kind of pump/filter to provide the suction. At the moment I use a hose and siphon it out the window and a hose from the tap to fill. Trying to find a better way

In my opinion you guys should add a small light to the back of the tank where the end point is, it would direct the viewers eye there more. Just wat i think, love watching you guys. You are the reason I got into aquascaping.
