About my garden
I live on the edge of USDA zone 6b/7a
We have hot and humid summers and cold winters with occassional snow and ice storms.
Everything that appears tropical and is in a container goes indoors or to a greenhouse for the winter. The plants in the ground stay in the ground all year.
The massive palms are faux planted in their containers to keep from blowing over, they all go to a greenhouse during the winter.

I have the black coral in my pond in kitchen and it's spider mite magnet but I love it. I saved someone's pennywort and did the trick of wrapping the stems in soil and layering it to have it grow bushy and nothing ever grew and the piece I put in my pond died lol. I have a big staghorn like that I just switched it's living environment. I am pond and water and fish lover so was very excited for this episode 🙂

I bought a small staghorn fern about 20 years ago at a nursery in Castle Rock, Colorado. It soon outgrew a plastic hanging basket. I moved it into a large wire basket. During winter, it lived in my greenhouse. During warm months, I hung it outdoors on a large Chinese tallow limb. It got so heavy that it took both me and my hubs to lift it to the chain to hang it. Then, the limb died – probably from the weight stress. Then, we hung it from a ceiling joist in my greenhouse for several years until one of the chains rusted and broke. It hung all cattiewompus for a year until we managed to get it down 2 years ago. I chopped it into 2 dozen chunks and gave them all away except for one piece which I put into a new wire basket. It's now getting huge. 🙄 I don't know why they're so expensive. They grow like maniacs around here. Central Texas zone 8.

Look at the big yellow Hibiscus bloom, so nice. I can feel the excitement getting there. I always am when I go to garden places. That place looks like dopamine overload, awesome. I like the plants you got, I want to get an Alocasia that will survive out side all year, I thought I heard you point one out you have in a previous video. Do you have one? Thanks for bringing us along. Love trips to garden centers and unique places. 💚🌺🌴🌻

The fountains were gorgeous, but that mounted Staghorn!! ❤ What a deal. My grandfather has one on bark like that and it took YEARS to grow so large from a tiny pup. Lucky you!
I’m going to save copper scraps and aluminum cans so I can make a miniature Japanese Maple fountain. What an inspiration.

Oh I would much rather have a pool. If a person had a lot of land AND money an Aqua Scape pond would be nice . I have the room if someone wants to put one in for free! 🤣🌸💚🙃 Room for both 🤣🌸💚🙃
