Love your vids. Personable and down to earth. No "coral-snobbery" ! Super informative. Just set up my Reefer 350 using lots of your advice. Once I get everything tweaked just right I wanna start doing macro photo. I have a Nikon D90 digital with a pretty good macro lens but what filter would you recommend? All my shots are blue'd out because my Red Sea reefer 90w's don't ever seem to go to bright white ( I set them on RS' recommended auto-program).

A question: if shooting in kelvins, what temperature are you shooting at? Also, in post, are you going in and changing tempt there? I’m wanting to get in to photos of this, have a background in photo, but not so much in reefing. I’m as wondering what the “best” color for images should be seeing as they can get really out there with the UV lights

great video… was hoping you'd literally take us from aiming our camera at our aquarium, what settings to adjust, hitting the shutter and then taking that overly blue image and feeding it to Elements or LR to produce a great image :))

You should try the venue optics macro probe lens, been shooting for a long time and that's the best lens I've used, I love the LED at the tip and big plus, it's submersible. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1430418-REG/venus_optics_laowa_24mm_f_14_probe.html
You missed out on making sure to shoot in RAW for best possible editing. However about 90% of people who take pictures of their reef are using cellphones in which don't shoot in RAW. Some phones have decent control flexibility with their settings but many don't. I use a Panasonic G85 with a few lenses, even macro lens to get real macro details. It does the job for what it is.

I know you don't use them because you don't use lighting that requires filters, but would you be able to recommend some filters for my Canon Eos Rebel Sl2 dslr, I have only the 18-55mm kit lens. I'd be using it primarily for blue plus, but maybe a set of filters could also be beneficial for down the road.
