What is the name of the yellow/orange blenny?
Absolutely amazing!
I think it's fine to use them at 100% once the corals are acclimated. I don't think you should use 100% for much longer than four or five hours though.
Do you think that with leds we should not use them at near 100%?
or at least not for a too long period of time?

I took some par measurements on a Vega unit I borrowed and put over my tank next to the Sols. Overall there was better par over a broader area. I attribute that to the 80 degree optics and the higher wattage. There was a really nice improvement with the color as well. The Sols could punch deeper into the tank with higher par, but only where the 40 degree optics were focused.
So in general I believe I will get more light spread more evenly with some better color. We shall see.
As a subscriber, I'm always looking forward to your next update. What sort of improvements are you expecting from the Vegas?
Thank you. I hope to do an update in few weeks because I'm upgrading the Sols to Vegas. The whole lighting configuration is going to change.
He lost his fins to some kind of infection when I got him and they never grew back. He keeps getting bigger and eats like a horse.
I see you added a couple things to your system. Still looks beautiful and I want to thank you because your tank is the inspiration for my build. Congratulations and great update.

The sps are definitely the most challenging. Keeping the alkalinity stable is much easier said than done. Takes a lot of practice and patience.

You are an inspiration to me. I saw your tank on Reef Keeping in 2008 and at that time, I just started my first tank. Many of the things written in the article was like a foreign language to me. Now four years later, I can I say I understand more than before and I am glad I came across your updated news on Advanced Aquarist.
I am on my second tank and it's 200 gallons. It's already flourishing and doing better than the first however, I have so much more to learn. Thank you for sharing!
