Really appreciate the comment about drying out our trimmings before disposal so that they don't have as much risk polluting local waterways!
So many plants that we hobbyists us in aquariums/landscaping/etc can be detrimental to local ecosystems, if they are not native to your region. A little bit of caution goes such a long way!

I bought and put some Monte Carlo in a 5 gallon that was already established and had one Java fern in it, along side with the monte I had got a little co2 system to put in the tank with a that little glass thing that tells you if you have too much or too little co2. Any reason why they all died within 3 weeks and maybe onsies and twosies of the plant still has some green on it but the rest died
Logan, it seems like you have a dirted tank but there is no cap. I wanted to ask – what is your secret to having such clear water with no cap? I would expect there to be much more dirt in the water column. WOW.

Hey. I have an ADA 30x30x30. I love your favourite tank in this video. If I want to achieve a similar vibe in my micro tank – would I plant Monte Carlo in the first half & a taller easy one in the back? What would you recommend? I was also going to float some red root floaters. But maybe I need a mid section plant to attach to my driftwood. What would be your perfect Nano, low maintenance, easy care – perfect set up?!

Loved your video!! I am new to this hobby and started my first tank. It has 200L (52 gallon) and I have it for a month. My plants are in general ok, but my carpet in not growing. I am going to buy new ones and start over, going to buy A LOT like you said. I already have water and some shrimps, and I am currently fighting with green and brown algae. Any advice on how to battle the algae and still get a beautiful carpet? I have CO2 and fertilizer, what are your advices regarding CO2 measures and fertilizing? Thanks for your amazing video!
