I find drift wood and debris nearby river beds to add in my aquariums. I only rinse them.. my fish eat whatever life remains on it and the wood serves as a multitude of health benefits for water Quality!👍🏻
@TammyMiller-lg6ne
I place driftwood in a very large cooler and fill it full of water I’ve heated on the stove, Let it soak for a few weeks.
@lemonyskunkketts7781
I let store bought sit in a 5 gallon bucket of water over night, then drain, rinse the wood, and repeat until the water has no more discoloration, or any oil floating on top. In-between soaks, I let the sun dry and disinfect the wood
@Rayquan0142
i just wash it and stick some stone, it's good to go 😂
@DonnaMartinez-e1z
How long do I soak after boiling for an hour. Do I rinse and repeat 4 times

ive found a piece of cool wood from the forest. the surface gets a bit spongy like cork when i immerse it. should i proceed with boil treatment? or matter of fact should i use it in a tank?
@daves7104
Does this help with water logging the wood?
@defiantrule
You NEVER "treat" driftwood by boiling it, you are not only going to spread diseases to your aquarium but you won't have good bacteria and tannins which are good for aquarium, NEVER BOIL DRIFTWOOD❗️❗️❗️ only wash it!
