🐠 We Set Up Our FIRST Saltwater Aquarium! 🌊 (What Have We Gotten Ourselves Into?!)
Sooo… we decided to start a saltwater aquarium—because clearly, we don’t have enough chaos in our lives already. 😂 In this video, we’re taking you along as we set up our very first saltwater tank, figure out this whole cycling thing (science??), and welcome our first little fishy friends into the family. Are we pros? Absolutely not. Are we having a blast? 1000%.
We’re just a couple of excited newbies researching like crazy and learning as we go, so if you’re here for expert advice, we might not be your people. But if you’re here for laughs, fishy excitement, and the journey of figuring it all out, then welcome aboard!
🐟 What’s in this video?
✨ Attempting to set up a saltwater tank (and hoping we don’t flood the house)
✨ Live fish cycling—because patience is not our strong suit
✨ Picking out our very first fish – finding Nemo inspired of course
✨ Figuring out our new tank routine—because, apparently, fish need schedules too??
If you’re into reef tanks, new hobbies, or just love following along as we dive into something totally new, stick around! Who knows where this adventure will take us? 💙

Love that you are doing this! I have the same fish tank and there are very few "average people" fish keeping videos. Seachem Prime and Stability helped me with the spikes. I ditched the lid and got a budget coral light off of amazon when I started adding corals. Love my saltwater tank!
Be prepared for people to comment that you need all this expensive equipment that you don’t need
And get a garbage can bucket the big plastic ones so you can just mix water and salt and keep some on hand for when you need to top fill and do water changes and get a two way siphon it’s easier
Those plants won’t live in salt water that’s for fresh water tanks and you need a rodi filter for osmosis water so your fish won’t die
Definitely confused on why you got freshwater plants for a saltwater tank, I feel bad that you spent the money on them
i gave up when i saw the sink. You have a dishwasher smh good luck with the tank
Your tank looks so peaceful!!
Watching this while water changing my aquarium that I absolutely regret getting 😅 it was my adhd hyperfixation for a while. I hope it goes so well for you guys!
Love watching this, I’m excited to see how the aquarium journey continues. So far it looks really good! 😊
So exciting!
Cool! Thanks for sharing!
