A Virginia woman is lucky to be alive after unknowingly playing with an octopus that could have killed her with just one bite. Kaylin Phillips had no idea the creature she and her friends were passing around on a beach in Bali was a venomous blue-ringed octopus. When she posted a picture on her Instagram story, several people responded telling her what it was. She looked it up online and discovered the animal has enough venom to kill more than 20 people. #InsideEdition

A daft American who would've guessed
Watched this with my seven year old grandson he said, why would she do that if she’s a grown-up? 😮
This lady was in my parents youth group-
I feel bad that people used to bash on her honestly, she’s rlly nice. It was her first time there and didn’t think it would hurt her.
She thought it was cool and wanted to hold it.
I’m sure billions of other people would probably do that in her situation-
It’s not a case of stupidity, rather just fascination
If it’s that small, squishy and colorful then it’s probably deadly enough for it to not matter.
It doesn't mean that octopus will kill 20 other people too, it is not a serial killer. Reporter got it all wrong lol.
Dumbass Women☕️
Ignorance is a bliss
B U R N I T AND THEN N U K E IT!
i like how she has a painting of an octopus on her wall. kinda morbid if that would've been her cause of death
It taught her a lesson, to stop doing anything stupid for tik tok clout lol, hopefully
How un educated can people be? I’ve literally always known what venomous animals look like. I wish it but her so we could have less of these stereotypical stupid tik tokers.
rule of thumb. if it has bright colours, its probably dangerous.
I don't trust Macaws…
Woman
Girl: holding octopus
Octopus: so you’ve chosen death
dumb ways to die
White people antics
It is the most deadly animal on the planet.
Don't handle sea creatures. It's obviously trying to get away. Just don't handle sea creatures. Just admire them from a distance.
Stupidity Gene, on display……
(Tourists REALLY should be given a mandatory safety course, before they go sight-seeing in some countries. That being a prime example.)
Ignorance is bliss 😂
girl is a Disney princess
Stupid woman
Hmmm. She learned her lesson. Yeah, right !!!
Guy: let’s eat it
Girl: no don’t say that
Me: thank god you did not
This is extremely spine chilling. This woman was an absolute moron. Learning to "not pick up everything you see" is something you learn at age 3. She has absolutely no idea how lucky she is. You also learn at a young age not to pick up or touch brightly colored animals. That "cute" little photo for her social media followers could have been the last one of her. It ticks me off sometimes knowing just how stupid people could be.
My dad picked up a jellyfish in Florida
He wasn’t stung but he should’ve been
octo should have poisoned the guy that mentioned to eat it
Dumb as hell
Never pick up wild animals!
Lucky days. Not many of us have such obvious near death experiences on video. Cute animal. if it's gotta crazy bright colors or patterns, ask someone who knows before you touch it: we're not all this lucky.
How lucky was she that the octoling was in the mood to think of its next trumpet single rather than caring about her.
The little octopus was happy to have a play date as every one else keep their distance 😂
